Vale Susan Luckey
We have just been notified that former child star Susan Luckey passed away on November 29, 2012 at 74. She was a Los Angeles native, born on April 4, 1938 and made about 4 movies while under the age of 18.
She was perhaps best known for her role in the 1962 movie, “The Music Man,” playing the part of Zaneeta Shin, a daughter of one of the River City, Iowa, politicians.
In 1955, she was one of the Indians in the Mary Martin film, “Peter Pan,” and the following year she got the biggest break of her career (at that time), portraying Louise Bigelow in another musical, “Carousel.”
She was also credited as Suzanne Luckey, but when she married actor Larry Douglas in 1964, she became known by the name Susan Douglas, on occasion. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Their only child was their daughter, Shayna Reynolds, and we extend to her, her other family members and friends, our sympathies and best wishes.
