When Children are Monetized on the Internet

It is a strange new world we’re living in. Mere children, who cannot provide Informed Consent due to their age, and who are, in Law, considered to be the “property of their parents” are suddenly exposed to the world through images broadcast over the Internet without the protection of oversight or enforceable rules. They are generating huge sums of money for someone…YouTube, service providers, advertisers, their parents or pimps…and no one can show me where the children can share in the profits.
Who dreamed this up?
Here’s the stone cold reality. There is big money trafficking in the images of childhood, and even bigger money when you don’t have to pay the help.
What are we going to do about this?
