Patty Duke’s Passing
Honest. Courageous. Gifted.
Those are the words that came instantly to mind when news of “Anna’s” death reached me this morning.
She suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune in the midst of fame in an age when no one wanted to understand the brutal reality hiding beneath all that talent.
She conquered the label of damaged goods and triumphed over every adversity. Imagine being sold in your early teens. It’s a miracle she survived.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. To her legions of fans let me say what must be said:
At what cost?
A Minor Consideration has lost another poster child for Industry inattention. The road is now smooth, dearest Patty. We will never forget you.
